Meet Frank Badge
Build and Defend Your Raft has exactly two badges, and one of them is a mystery: Meet Frank. No description, no explanation in game — just a badge that over half of all players somehow have. Here’s everything we know.
The full badge list
| Badge | Description | Rarity | Won by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome | “You joined the game!” | 100% (Freebie) | 779,933 players |
| Meet Frank | (no description) | 55.5% (Easy) | 258,493 players |
Both badges were added to the game on August 22, 2026 — several weeks after launch — per the official Roblox badges API. (Data checked September 3, 2026.)
Who is Frank?
The game doesn’t say. The leading theories, in order of plausibility:
- A starter-raft NPC. New players spawn next to a small cast: their raft, a Crafting Table, a chest. A named character on the starter island would make “meet Frank” a natural early badge for 55% of players — the share who walk over and talk to him rather than sailing off immediately.
- A named shark. The ocean’s most famous resident being “Frank” would fit the game’s humor — though meeting him usually ends badly, which makes the Easy rarity a joke in itself.
- An event/patch character. The badge appeared in the same late-August window as the game’s viral takeoff, so Frank may have arrived with a content update rather than at launch.
No official source names Frank yet — this page will be updated the moment the next patch (devs ship every Saturday) makes him unambiguous. If you spawn in and find a Frank, walk up and click him: that’s almost certainly the badge.
What the badge stats tell us
The ratio between the two badges is quietly useful:
- 779,933 players have Welcome — that’s the game’s real “unique joins” floor since August 22 (higher in reality, since badges only count players who joined after they were added).
- Only 258,493 — exactly a third — bothered to complete whatever “Meet Frank” asks. Compared to other Roblox games, where easy exploration badges often clear 70–80%, that low completion suggests Frank is genuinely hidden or requires going somewhere new players don’t think to go.
Badge hunting tips
- Badges are account-wide and permanent; there’s no downside to grabbing Meet Frank early.
- The Getting started guide covers the starter raft layout — most likely place to find whoever Frank is.
- Watch the updates page: new badges are usually added alongside Saturday content drops, and badge additions have historically coincided with new NPCs or events.
